This week on... TCM

Sunday, March 13, 2011
Going Hollywood (1933) 6:00 AM - And while you sleepy heads are in the hay, I'm going to be dancing with a Sunkist baby. And I'm on my way, here's my beret.. I'm goin' Hollywood!
After The Thin Man (1936) 11:00 AM - This is the one with Jimmy Stewart and, yes, Mrs. Asta (I love how she's an actress with only one title to her name. Well, as sometimes happens, she met her husband on set, and he had enough star quality to sustain them so she became a housedog)!

Monday, March 14, 2011
Gaby (1956) 4:30 PM - A remake of Waterloo Bridge with Leslie Caron and John Kerr. I don't know...
Strangers On A Train (1951) 12:45 AM

Tuesday, March 15, 2011 (Jean Harlow)
Bombshell (1933) 9:30 PM - This one wins the blue ribbon!
Libeled Lady (1936) 11:15 PM - My favorite Jean Harlow movie with Myrna Loy, William Powell, and Spencer Tracy. Everyone loves William Powell!
Reckless (1935) 1:00 AM - This one also has William Powell (and eerie Franchot Tone).
Personal Property (1937) 2:45 AM - And this one is my second favorite Jean Harlow movie with a dapper Robert Taylor.

Wednesday, March 16, 2011
Bringing Up Baby (1938) 6:00 AM
Arsenic And Old Lace (1944) 8:00 AM
Follow The Fleet (1936) 2:00 PM
Manhattan (1921) 4:00 PM - 'This silent documentary captures the beauty and majesty of the New York harbor' (I think it's just a few minutes long)
On The Waterfront (1954) 5:00 PM
Italianamerican (1974) 7:00 PM - Martin Scorcese's documentary

Thursday, March 17, 2011
Rififi (1954) 9:15 PM - French jewelry heist classic
Seconds (1966) 1:15 AM - Rock Hudson movie about a mysterious organization that furnishes clients with second lives. The movie didn't adequately explain the purpose behind the organization.. or maybe I didn't understand it, but it was interesting nonetheless.

Friday, March 18, 2011 (Edward Everett Horton! and Jeanne Moreau)
Going Highbrow (1935) 3:45 PM - 'A nouveau riche couple try to break into high society.' It's a standard Guy Kibbee / Edward Everett Horton comedy!
Viva Maria! (1965) 10:00 PM - Merci beaucoup!
Jules And Jim (1962) 12:15 AM - I love Henri Serre in this. This movie makes me so mad!
The Boogens (1982) 2:00 AM - Apparently Boogens are scaly monsters that resemble giant turtles. And you can't escape from them!
Short Film: Match Your Mood (6 minutes) (1968) 5:45 AM - 'Westinghouse shows women how to improve their lives by decorating their refrigerators.' If only it were that easy!
